1作目と同様、もしくはそれ以上に素晴らしい作品が、続編の『カイジ2』です。舞台は前作の出来事から1年後。カイジはまだ2億円という借金を抱えており、その返済のために勝てば10億円以上を稼げるパチンコ機「沼」に挑むことを提案されます。大当たりが出ることを信じて勝負に挑むカイジですが、彼は10億円が決して出ないように「沼」が遠隔操作で管理されていることを知りませんでした…。

  1. 『カイジ 人生逆転ゲーム』

福本伸行の漫画シリーズ『賭博黙示録カイジ』を原作とした、2009年公開のスリリングな実写映画のシリーズ1作目。働きもせず、車上荒らしや酒や博打に明け暮れる毎日を送る若者カイジが主人公。ある日、借金取りが現れ、カイジに2つの選択肢を示します。それは、10年かけて借金を返済するか、一晩だけギャンブルクルーズ船に乗って借金を返すというもの。しかも大金を手にするチャンスもあるとのこと。カイジは、そこで行われている勝負がどれほど危険なものか知らないまま船に乗り込むのでした…。

シリーズ完結編となる『カイジ ファイナルゲーム』（2020年公開）。劇場公開時に大きな成功をおさめたキラームービーであり、実際、カイジシリーズ全般の素晴らしさからシリーズ3作品が今回のリストを占める結果となりました。本作品は原作となる漫画のプロットに影響を受けておらず、それゆえに他の2作品ほど優れていないかもしれないものの、ギャンブル映画としては最高傑作のひとつとなっています。

英語で『Kakegurui – Compulsive Gambler』と題された2019年公開の本作は、同名の漫画シリーズを実写化したものです。河合勇人監督による映画版の舞台は、創立122年を迎える架空の名門校・私立百花王学園。この学園には生徒同士のギャンブルの勝敗による階級制度が存在します。ポーカー、クラップス、ルーレットなどのカジノゲームによって勝者は名声と金を得るほか、敗者に対して優位な立場になることが許されるのですが、ある日突然、学園に転校生としてやってきた蛇喰夢子によって、掛け金が引き上げられることに…。
